If this information is given beforehand students usually work much more effective because they will know that they will fail if they do not get enough score. And how will each stage be assessed (participation, attendance, project work, mid-term, final exams and others). ![]() In ‘ Assessment policy’ one can find criteria for grading system of students’ performance. Pre-requirements - What standards students are to meet before taking a particular course? Pre-requirements underline the level of knowledge and skills that students should have before the course. The ‘ Materials‘ provides message about these materials( what they are, where students could find them, web-sites addresses and links to them). And of course, teachers often use extra materials to narrow down the gap between practice and theory. Syllabus should contain information about materials (the author of a course-book, editions, optional books). How they should be done or due what date students have to attach their tasks and consequences of late delivery that might affect grades. And also it gives information on types of activities and tasks (individual, pair or group work etc.)Īssignment description reveals the data on the criteria of assignments. How the course will be conducted? Does it include only lectures and seminars? Or are there any practical lessons? Course format answers these questions. The next aspect what I have included in my evaluation rubric is Course format. According to these students may take or not to take a course (of course, if that course is not compulsory). These objectives serve as a motive of students performance. Before taking a particular course one wishes to know what abilities or skills will he or she obtain at the end of it.
